Cheryl Lee had a few of us over and we made samplers. Each of us got to choose which items from the Gingerbread & Peppermint Suite to use for our samplers. No two were the same and here is mine. Now I just need to find a special place to hang it.
Supplies: Stamp Sets – Frosted Gingerbread Die Cutting & Embossing – Gingerbread dies Ink – Real Red stamp pad Paper – Real Red cardstock, Early Espresso cardstock, Gingerbread & Peppermint 6″x6″ Designer Series Paper, Gingerbread & Peppermint Memories & More Card Pack Tools – Paper Trimmer, Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine Adhesive – Stampin’ SEAL Other – 8″ x 8″ frame
Over the weekend I went to a Stampin’ Up! gathering at my upline Cheryl’s house (she’s the one I signed up with) and we had a swap. I needed to make 10 cards so I found two papers with similar patterns.
The patterned paper is 3″ x 5 1/2″ so you can get two cards out of a 6″x6″ piece of paper. For the red strip, I cut the cardstock to 1/8″ x 5 1/2″ and used liquid glue to add it on. I wanted to use ribbon but I wanted to patterned paper to fill it’s side of the card and I didn’t want the ribbon to show on the inside so a cardstock strip it was.
The sentiment and candies are stamped using white pigment ink and embossed with white embossing powder. It might just be that I need to reink my Versamark pad but I prefer to use white ink for white embossing to get better coverage.
