I decided to play with my embossing paste on this card. I mixed a few drops of Gray Granite re-inker into a pile of embossing paste for the background. I also created the mask for the background by using the stones die from the Animal Friends dies.
The Let it Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper is just so cute. I love the little snowmen covered in glitter. I had a really hard time trying to get that glitter and the glitter in the shimmery crystal effects to show up on camera. The sentiment is double heat-embossed using white embossing powder and the Stamparatus.

I was trying to straighten up my crafting table and I was looking through my scrap giant pile bin. I found three card-front sized pieces of embossed whisper white. I also found some Mint Macaron die cuts. I thought they would be great on the latest sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I meant to use more of the die cuts but I glued everything down before I remembered to use them.
I think the Hedgehugs set is just so cute but I didn’t even notice the mushrooms until I made this card for today. I colored in the bird image and the flowers using the Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, Real Red, and Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Markers. The rhinestones were colored with the Dark Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends Marker but it may be hard to see the color.
I’ve had a hard time finding my mojo lately and so I really needed a sketch. This one appealed to me because it called to my designer series paper which makes cardmaking so much easier. How beautiful is that paper! I had an issue putting it on the Soft Suede layer straight so out comes the trimmer and a new Soft Suede layer. If it wasn’t for the dimensionals under the Blackberry Bliss pattern, you may not have known I had an issue putting it together straight. 🙂
I used the Stamparatus to do the sentiment so I could emboss it twice. I stamped it with Versamark ink, sprinkled with copper embossing powder, and heat set. Then I stamped it again with Versamark ink, sprinkled it with copper embossing powder, and heat set! Three times is even smoother but I was late with this post already. 🙂
I still have the Myths & Magic Glimmer paper on my table so I used it on this card too. I’ve got glitter everywhere. 🙂
I stamped the “Happy Birthday” from the Butterfly Basics stamp set on vellum in Basic Black Archival ink and then embossed it with clear embossing powder. I did a double layer of the vellum to help the sentiment stand out over all that glitter.
I think I use the sentiments in the Butterfly Basics stamp set more than I use the images, they just seem to fit what I need whenever I’m looking. And I just can’t resist adding a flourish when the card feels like it just needs something.
