Freshly Made Sketches #414

Since it’s December, I’m unlikely to post as consistently as I do the rest of the year but I’m planning to post a least once a week.  We will see how that goes since this post was supposed to go up yesterday and that didn’t happen.  🙂

I’m playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches blog and on my first card I used the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper and then I noticed last night that it’s sold out.  😦  Fortunately, this paper is coming back in the 2020 Holiday Catalog.  🙂  But since it’s gone and you can’t get it, I also made a version using the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper.

The Feels Like Frost paper is absolutely gorgeous on it’s own, and while I love the Wrapped in Plaid paper it did need something extra so I added gold glimmer sprigs using the Detailed Peacock dies.

Let It Snow…

…well, not really but I love this paper.

The Let it Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper is just so cute.  I love the little snowmen covered in glitter.  I had a really hard time trying to get that glitter and the glitter in the shimmery crystal effects to show up on camera.  The sentiment is double heat-embossed using white embossing powder and the Stamparatus.

Golden Dashing Deer

For today’s card I pulled out a stamp set that debuted last year, Dashing Deer.  I just love this stamp set and I paired it with the Wrapped in Plaid Specialty Designer Series paper for this card.

Buffalo Check Dashing Deer

I absolutely love the Buffalo Check background stamp and I thought pairing it with the Dashing Deer bundle would be great.  I love how this card came out.  I even used the beautiful deer die on the inside.

Measurements:

Basic Black	5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”; 1” x 4”
Copper Foil	4” x 5 ¼”
Cherry Cobbler	3 ¾” x 5”
Very Vanilla	4” x 5 ½”

Instructions:

1. Using the Stamparatus and Shaded Spruce ink, stamp the Buffalo Check on Cherry Cobbler cardstock. Die cut the jumping deer and set aside
2. Adhere Cherry Cobbler piece to Copper Foil using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere to Basic Black Card base.
3. Using Versamark, stamp the sentiment on Basic Black and punch out using the Everyday Label Punch. Adhere using Stampin Dimensionals.
4. Tie the Copper trim in a bow and adhere using a glue dot.
5. Using black, stamp inside sentiment on the piece of Very Vanilla, add die cut deer with the fine tip glue.

Stampfield Stars Stamp Share

A couple of times a year Susan Campfield does a big gathering of all her demonstrators and calls it Stamp Share.  One of the best things about being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is the community, I just love these gatherings!  We see some wonderful demonstrations of new products and Susan always has such incredible make & takes for us.  These are two of them from last Saturday.

The first card features the Dashing Deer bundle and the Dashing Along Designer Series Paper.

The second card features the Rooted in Nature stamp set for a fall themed card.

Holiday Catalog Swap

The Holiday Catalog goes live tomorrow and last week I participated in a Holiday Catalog swap.  I sent in this card and got 19 in return that I will share on Thursday.  I stamped Lovely as a Tree using Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  The sentiment is with silver embossing powder.

I created a template and sponged the sky with Night of Navy ink.

I die cut all of the deer and then used a template to stamp them all.

After I was done, I sprayed a mixture of rubbing alcohol and the new shimmer paint over the panel.  It’s really hard to see.
