I wanted to use the church die from the Snow Globe Scenes dies for something other than Christmas so I made a wedding card using a sentiment from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.

Still Scenes, Day 6

Who says snow globes need to be for winter?  I made this Spring-ish card for a birthday.  The little flowers in the shaker (with the sequins) where made by stamping and die cutting using Shrinky-Dink plastic.

Box Card for my Son’s Birthday

Today’s card is a little different, I didn’t use exclusively new products nor exclusively Stampin’ Up! products.  The patterned paper is from October Afternoon, I got a pack of 25 in a warehouse sale over 5 years ago and I’m still working through it.  The “Happy Birthday” on the front is from Cherry Chat that retired in 2007, sometimes you just need to pull out some old stamps set and show them some love.  On the inside I used Animal Outing and Beautiful Bouquet.  For the card I followed these instructions from Ruza’s Craft Corner.

Beautiful Bouquet

Say Goodbye to the Beautiful Bouquet bundle, fortunately the stamp set and framelits are staying.  This is another pause from the Say Goodbye series to show you the second card we created at my last Cookies & Cards event and the almost exactly the swap card I gave out at OnStage in Milwaukee.  We used all four sides of the Stamparatus to get nice clean images.  The Say Goodbye series will return tomorrow.

 Measurements:

Berry Burst	3 ¼” x 4 ¼”
Tranquil Tide	5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 2 1/8” turn over score at 4 ¼”
Whisper White Thick	3” x 4”,  1 7/8” x 5 ¼”, 4” x 5 ¼”

 Instructions:

1. Fold the piece of Tranquil Tide on the 4 ¼” and then fold back along the 2 1/8” score line.
2. Emboss the tall thin piece of Whisper White. Adhere to the Tranquil Tide cardstock as shown.
3. Using the Stamparatus and the 3” x 4” piece of Whisper White, stamp the flower stem twice using Tranquil Tide and the flowers twice using Berry Burst. Adhere to the Berry Burst cardstock.  Adhere to the embossed piece of Whisper White centering on the card front as shown.
4. Stamp on the 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White using Tranquil Tide. Adhere to the Tranquil Tide cardstock as shown.

I love, love, love buying Memories & More card packs, the problem I always have is using them up.  I personally don’t like the look of pocket scrapbook pages and there are only so many cards I can use on one scrapbook layout soooooo I tend to use them to make cards instead.  I was inspired by a photo from Stampin’ Up! and also by Jackie Aitken.

I actually did create a version of the Adventures card but I forgot to take a picture before sending it off to the boutique I sell cards at.  The change I made to it was to stamp Await using the Brushwork Alphabet instead of Side by Side.   I needed graduation cards.  🙂

Berry Burst on Glossy Cardstock Swap Card

Here is my second swap card from my Saturday swap.  For this one we needed to highlight a new accessory from the catalog.  I really wanted to do something with the Glossy Cardstock and when I saw this post, I had to try it.  Let me say, you WILL get inky doing this.  (You may notice that those Wood Texture circles are recycled from the card in my last post.  Waste not, want not.)  On Thursday I’ll post the cards I got in return.
