I love the banners in this stamp set, it just didn’t have sentiments I used as much.  I’ve pulled out the beautiful Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper again, I will miss that paper too.

Happy Birthday Rachel

Over the weekend we celebrated Rachel Tessman’s 50th birthday and I made this card for her.  I have a woefully small selection of current “Happy Birthday” sentiments that fit in this banner.  For the flower, I used a sponge dauber to apply the ink and my Stamparatus to stamp it twice.

Say Goodbye to Garden in Bloom

If you have seen the new Share What You Love Designer Series Paper, you may want to pick up this stamp set before it’s gone.   One of the patterns in that pack looks to have this flower on it.  I was inspired to create a similar patterned paper but with Wisteria Wonder instead of Mint Macaron since you can’t buy that yet.  Funny thing, this might be the first time I’ve even used Wisteria Wonder.  All of the stamping is either embossed with clear or silver embossing powder.

That silver layer isn’t silver foil, I made it.  I used Versamark around the edges and added silver embossing powder.  I did the same on the label but thinner.  It looks gold in the picture but it’s silver.

Measurements:

4 ¼” x 4 ¼”, a piece for die-cutting	4” x 8”, scored at 4”
Whisper White Thick	4 ¼” x 4 ¼”, piece for die cutting
Designer Series Paper	4” x 4”

Instructions:

• Score the piece of Whisper white from the top left corner to the bottom of the score line at 4”. Fold the bottom triangle up.  See below:

• Stamp the greetings on the Whisper White Thick cardstock and die cut.
• Using Sweet Sugarplum and the sponge dauber, color the white side of the Lace Doily.
• Adhere the DSP to the Whisper White Thick piece of paper. Adhere to the folded-up triangle.
• Add the small banner to the inside of the card with dimensionals.
• Place the Lace Doily in the center of the card and adhere the banner over it to keep it in place. Place Rhinestones.

Measurements:

Other cardstock	5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”, 3 ¼” x 4 ½”, 2 ¼” x 3 ½”, scrap for butterfly
Whisper White	(2) 4” x 5 ¼”, 3” x 4 ¼”, 2” x 3 ¼”, piece for banner

Instructions:

1. Place a piece of SNAIL on the backs of the two smaller pieces of Whisper White and de-stick it some. Adhere the three sizes of Whisper White on top of each other, centered.
2. Stamp background on the Whisper White stack.
3. Remove the Whisper White pieces and stack them up with the other cardstock.
4. Stamp the butterfly and punch out with either the bitty butterfly or the elegant butterfly punch.
5. Stamp the “Thank you” and use the banner die and the big shot to cut out.
6. Assemble as shown.
