I’ll admit that I have a love/hate relationship with Rose Wonder. I LOVE the sentiments in this set but I don’t like any of the cards I’ve made with the rose as the focus. I’m just not a very accomplished colorist. For this card, I focused on the little flower and made my own patterned paper.

Sale-a-Bration ends this Saturday!

I love, love, love buying Memories & More card packs, the problem I always have is using them up. I personally don’t like the look of pocket scrapbook pages and there are only so many cards I can use on one scrapbook layout soooooo I tend to use them to make cards instead. I was inspired by a photo from Stampin’ Up! and also by Jackie Aitken.

I actually did create a version of the Adventures card but I forgot to take a picture before sending it off to the boutique I sell cards at. The change I made to it was to stamp Await using the Brushwork Alphabet instead of Side by Side. I needed graduation cards. 🙂

The clear bubbles on the rose are White Perfect Accents with the white backing removed.

I just thought I would pop in and show you what we made yesterday at my new catalog celebration workshop.

This card is a CASE of this card. I just wish I had the black diagonal stripe from the Neutrals paper for the edge strip but this polka dot from Schoolhouse is cute too. Just like on the linked page, I used the negative from the tree builder punch as a stencil to sponge on the largest clouds.

This card took me four tries to find a version I liked. The idea was inspired by my upline’s upline (the woman who recruited the woman who recruited me). I used the large die from the Rose Garden thinlets as a stencil to sponge the colors into the flower. My first two variations didn’t have the black outline and one was a different color combination. The third used the large die on the card also. None of those was quite right. I like how this one came out.
