I used the light Calypso Coral, Light Smoky Slate, Light Soft Suede, and Color Lifter Stampin’ Blends markers to color the image. Then I inked around it using Balmy Blue and a make up brush. I also inked the smaller circle because the white was too stark.

Happy New Year! I’m back today with an alternative for the December 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit. I really wanted to have the year on each of the months and a picture that went with them so here is what I came up with. (My craft table is a mess right now, you will see why when you see how many stamp sets I used.)
I used the retired Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper on a piece of chipboard I saved from the kit. I ALWAYS save my chipboard, you never know when you will need it. The rings are 1/2″ book rings and I used my Crop-a-dile to punch the holes in the chipboard. I cut the chipboard on my guillotine style cutter after adding the DSP (apparently I need to clean the blade to get a sharper cut). The banner for each year is from Pick A Pennant and done using the Stamparatus.

The chipboard is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ front and back. The base is 4″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 1″, 2″, & 3″ then folded as above. I attached the chipboard using Beacon 3 in 1 glue.
Okay, okay, this is the last “This Little Piggy” post for the foreseeable future. I just wanted to use all the images.
My new catalog order arrived today so guess what I got to use? Yep, that’s right, Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper. So this isn’t one of the patterns I drool over but I thought it went well with my badly watercolor-ed little piggy. Under the Whisper White baker’s twine you can see a hint of Basic Gray marker that I used to color in the hooves. I didn’t like it so I pulled out a threader (you should really have one of these) and fed the baker’s twine through to kind of cover it up.

I really do have other stamp sets but I’m trying to keep to two posts a week and spread them out over the summer. This sketch gave me fits, I really need my order with more paper in it to arrive. (I’m talking to you Whole Lot of Lovely!) I decided to turn the sketch on it’s side because I just couldn’t decide on a color scheme and background. I ended up using the Fluttering TIEF and sponging it with Soft Sky. I think it still needs something. I used the Envelope Punch Board to round the corner.

I designed this card based on this sketch for a shoebox swap and we will be making it at my catalog launch party this Saturday. For a shoebox swap, you bring the cut paper and supplies for everyone attending to make the card. Its so much fun to hang out with other crafty folks and create.
