Black with Swans

Today, I am playing with Sketch 662 from the Just Add Ink Challenge blog. I was initially hesitant about how to use the swan paper and the X-patterned paper (from the reverse side) from the Delightfully Eclectic paper pack, but I gave it a shot. To add some life to the X-patterned paper, I used a blending brush to apply Lost Lagoon ink. Once I put the patterned papers together, I decided to include some 1/8″ strips of distressed gold paper.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets – Go To Greetings
Die Cutting & Embossing – Something Fancy dies
Ink – Lost Lagoon stamp pad
Paper – Delightfully Eclectic 12″x12″ Designer Series Paper; Basic Black, Basic White, Basic White Thick, & Lost Lagoon cardstock; Distressed Gold Specialty Paper
Accents & Embellishments – Festive Pearls
Coloring Tools – Blending Brush
Tools – Paper Trimmer, Simply Scored, Bone Folder, Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Take Your Pick

Gnome Birthday

I need some landscape cards for my display board *again*, apparently I think in portrait. So, I went through my email folder where I save off card sketches and pulled a few out to use. Today’s sketch is from Just Add Ink.

I’m using the Rings of Love Sale-a-bration patterend paper and the gnome is from the Storybook Gnomes patterned paper. (The gnome is fussy cut because I chose one that didn’t have a coordinating die. I ran the light Soft Suede Stampin’ Blend around the cut edge so it didn’t stand out so much from the background circle.)

The mushrooms are cut from the Gnome dies, colored using the Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends, and then coated with clear Wink of Stella. The Happy Birthday comes from my new favorite “Go To Greetings” stamp set and the label is from the Pretty Pillowbox dies.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets – Go To Greetings
Die Cutting & Embossing – Gnomes dies, Pretty Pillowbox dies, Stylish Shapes dies
Ink – Soft Suede stamp pad
Paper – Rings of Love Designer Series Paper (Sale-a-bration), Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper, Soft Suede cardstock, Basic White Thick cardstock

Tools – Paper Trimmer, Simply Scored, Bone Folder, Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine
