Here is the second card from my last Cookies & Cards class and also the second card from my June swap. I just love how the mama panda bear is hugging the baby panda bear, so cute! My daughter helped me design this one, she picked out the colors for me to use because sometimes there are just too many choices. 🙂
This is the first card we made at my last Cookies & Cards class and it was a card I sent into a swap I participated in last month. For the swap I used the Old Olive foil and for the class I used the Pretty Peacock foil. (I ran out of Old Olive.) I still need to photograph the swap cards, we will see if they make it up on the blog.
When I saw how pretty the peacock was in this stamp set, I had to have it. I especially love it in the colors of the Noble Peacock Suite; Blueberry Bushel, Old Olive, and Pretty Peacock.
Apparently I forgot to write and schedule this post for today. 🙂 Oops.
I’m still having fun with the Wildly Happy stamp set, today it’s the elephants. I stamped them in Memento and colored them with Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. I used the Color Lifter over the Balmy Blue sky to lighten it up some. For the background, I inked the embossing folder with Merry Merlot ink and then embossed Merry Merlot cardstock. For the frame I inked the embossing folder with Crumb Cake and embossed Crumb Cake cardstock then I cut it into strips to make the frame.
The images in the Wildly Happy stamp set are just so cute. I love the parent and child cuddling together. I colored the foxes using the Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends and the Color Lifter. The background is the Buffalo Check background stamp in Merry Merlot on Crumb Cake with lines of Cajun Craze added. I love how the Buffalo Check can be easily changed into a plaid.
I’m playing along with the Global Design Project for this card. #GDP198
I wanted to make a card with the Noble Peacock Suite that didn’t use the peacock. I die cut the leaves and feather from the Noble Peacock foil; the background is using the new Scripty 3D folder and some vellum from the Perennial Essence vellum pack; and that gorgeous two toned ribbon.
I love the new Noble Peacock Suite, it’s just so rich looking. For this card I focused on the beautiful peacock die cut. I think the best way to show it off is to die cut it from the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets and hey since they are out why not die cut another color and emboss it. So pretty. I then layered that on a piece of the Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper.
