I was inspired by a card I saw on ebay. You may recognize the border from my day 3 card, don’t throw out those extra pieces. The basic black cardstock has a 1/2″ piece of Whisper White cardstock added to it before punching out out the heart and the pearls were colored with a sharpie. The white heart was embossed with the Lace 3D embossing folder. The smaller rectangle is embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing folder and set inside the inked frame.
Welcome back to my From the Heart Suite series. Today I have two containers, the first is based on a projectby Sam from MixedUpCraft and the second is the Mini Curvy keepsake box. The bag is made from two 6″ x 6″ pieces of paper so the pattern direction can remain upright, you can’t really tell in these photos unless you look very closely at the inside. You can also squeeze the sides of the bag together and fold it up. So cute!
Today’s card wasn’t shown at Demos Galore like the others in this series because I created it specifically for the Joy of Sets Blog Hop. This fold is called a Spanner Panel Three Layer Card and I learned it from Susan Campfield.
My card is made with a piece of 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ of cardstock, scored at 4 1/4″. You then cut 1 1/4″ in from each side up to the fold and place a piece of window sheet on the two sides to support the span.
This was one of my favorite cards because it was also using the Breathtaking Bouquet stamp, which you know I love. For the background, I inked Whisper White Thick cardstock with Real Red and Flirty Flamingo before white embossing the background stamp on it. I then die cut it using the Stitched Rectangle dies (I saved the outside portion for a later card).
