Today is my anniversary so I thought I would do a wedding-ish card. I think that this is just such a pretty cake. The cake base is stamped in Powder Pink and the detail is stamped with Versamark and embossed with copper embossing powder.
I haven’t had this stamp set long but I’ve at least used it a couple of times. I like the word art that can be colored in and I still need to use the largest sentiment. I used the Tranquil Textures paper because I thought the background look kind of like frosting.

I LOVE the Large Letters dies, they are my go to for scrapbook titles and are great for the eclipse technique I’m using here. I will keep my set but there is a new die set on the way that I may have to use with this one. I was trying to do an eclipse card I saw Jennifer McGuire do with colored letters and a white background but apparently you don’t want to use Berry Burst to do this. 🙂
For my first attempt, I used the Marbled background stamp, Versamark, and white embossing powder…Apparently you should make sure you cleaned your stamp well before putting it away because it came out with a pink tinge. 🙂 Then I stamped the letters on the background and tried to wipe away the ink off the embossing powder before die cutting….Um, that didn’t work well either, more pink tinge. I went with it and attached the letters with mini stampin’ dimensionals. 🙂
For my second attempt, I die cut the letters first and then stamped them…Still the issue with coloring the embossing but at least it didn’t smear on the rest of the card. I die cut 3 more sets of letters and built up the dimension for this version.
I don’t think I used this set until I made this card. That’s so sad because the bear is just so adorable and we are not lacking in stuffed bears in this house. I used my Stamparatus and a few tries to get the images lined up. The base layer is in Crumb Cake, the middle layer in Soft Suede, and the final layer in Early Espresso.
I was inspired by a post by Jennifer McGuire to create this card. Instead of coloring the glimmer paper though, I pulled out the Myths & Magic glimmer paper that retired last year. I just love the color and how glittery it is. The frame and the dragonflies are three layers thick, I glued each together to give them a little more heft.
