I LOVE the Large Letters dies, they are my go to for scrapbook titles and are great for the eclipse technique I’m using here. I will keep my set but there is a new die set on the way that I may have to use with this one. I was trying to do an eclipse card I saw Jennifer McGuire do with colored letters and a white background but apparently you don’t want to use Berry Burst to do this. 🙂
For my first attempt, I used the Marbled background stamp, Versamark, and white embossing powder…Apparently you should make sure you cleaned your stamp well before putting it away because it came out with a pink tinge. 🙂 Then I stamped the letters on the background and tried to wipe away the ink off the embossing powder before die cutting….Um, that didn’t work well either, more pink tinge. I went with it and attached the letters with mini stampin’ dimensionals. 🙂
For my second attempt, I die cut the letters first and then stamped them…Still the issue with coloring the embossing but at least it didn’t smear on the rest of the card. I die cut 3 more sets of letters and built up the dimension for this version.
