There are only a few days left of Sale-a-Bration so I thought I’d better ink up my Little Ladybug stamp set at least once before it’s gone. I stamped the flower on Pear Pizzazz and die cut it. I then stamped on So Saffron using So Saffron and then using Crushed Curry dabbed on the center using a sponge dauber. I die cut the flower and place it over the Pear Pizzazz one. The ladybug was a challenge for me. I’m very critical of my coloring skills and I didn’t like how it looked using the blends or the watercolor pencils, so I stamped on Real Red and Smoky Slate and cut them out to layer on the one I colored.
I’ve completed a few Paper Pumpkins while my From the Heart series was posting. Another type of Paper Pumpkin that I put off is one with 3″ x 3″ cards, I don’t ever use them so here they are made into standard sized cards. I even used up some more of the sequins I had left over from Tuesday’s cards. The strips on the cards are 1 1/2″ or 2″ wide. I wasn’t thinking about how many cards I would create when I cut the first piece of paper. This is the honeycomb sheet from the Sale-a-Bration Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper that is unfortunately sold-out.
I inked two of the strips with a sponge and four with a mix of alcohol and re-inker in a spritzer. I think I like how the spritzer comes closer to the heart color.
I misplaced one of the Rocco Rose hearts when I was making the first cards so it got a special version all it’s own. 🙂
Here is my version that you can make even if you didn’t get the Paper Pumpkin kit.
I punched the heart out of Shimmery White cardstock and sprayed with the Rocco Rose/Alcohol mixture. The sentiment is from the Little Ladybugs Sale-a-Bration host set and I layered it with Crushed Curry using the Layered Circle dies. The Mint Macaron is stamped with Versamark and the Breathtaking Bouquet stamp (of course). The strip is from the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series paper and then the front of the card is embossed using the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder. You actually could do the bees too but I didn’t get the Honey Bee Bundle.
