Say Goodbye to Daisy Delight

I don’t have to be too sad to say goodbye to Daisy Delight because I also have the Daisy Lane stamp set and it’s sticking around. I will miss using the Coastal Weave 3D embossing folder for blog posts but it will be staying in my collection because I love it. After stamping the flowers, I inked the top of the die cut with Balmy Blue. For the daisy, I used my bone folder to curve the petals up and then to curve the ends of the petals down.

I’m following the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday Challenge #456 which is pretty similar to many of the cards I’ve made lately. 🙂

Delightful Daisy Class Card #1

Here is the first card we made at my last Cookies & Cards class.  We even stamped the insides!  🙂

Measurements:

Pool Party	5 ½’ x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”
Tranquil Tide	4 1/8” x 5 3/8”, 3 1/8” x 4”
Whisper White	4” x 5 ¼” (for inside of card)
Whisper White Thick	1” x 5”,  2 ¾” x 6” piece  for daisy
Designer Series Paper	3” x 4”, 4” x 5 ¼”

Instructions:

1. Using Night of Navy ink, stamp the daisy on a scratch piece of paper and then stamp it on the Thick Whisper White. Do this twice.  Use the same technique for the solid and dotted circles in the center of the flowers.
2. Punch the end of the Whisper White 1” x 5” piece using the Banner Triple Punch. Using Tranquil Tide, stamp “Thank You” on the banner.
3. Use the Bone Folder to curl the leaves of the Daisy, attach together with mini glue dots. Attach to the empty end of the banner using mini glue dots.
4. Using Tranquil Tide, stamp the sentiment and the stem on the 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White. Using Night of Navy, stamp the flower outline.  Stamp off the flower fill stamp before stamping over the outline.
5. Assemble as shown.

This Little Piggy’s Daisy Delight

It’s time for the new annual catalog!!!!!

I’m excited and sad.  Sad to see some favorites leaving, and excited to see new favorites arrive.  There are a few things I can’t wait to order that weren’t available in the demonstrator pre-order (it’s one of the MANY benefits to being a demonstrator).

I designed this card based on this sketch for a shoebox swap and we will be making it at my catalog launch party this Saturday.  For a shoebox swap, you bring the cut paper and supplies for everyone attending to make the card.  Its so much fun to hang out with other crafty folks and create.

Measurements:

Crumb Cake Cardstock	4 ¼” x 11”, scored at 5 ½”
Shimmery White Cardstock	2 3/8” x 3 ¾”
Berry Burst Cardstock	2 ½” x 4”, scrap for ½” circle
Powder Pink Cardstock	2 ¾” x 5 ½” for two daisy punches
Wood Textures DSP stack	1 ¼” x 5 ½”

Instructions:

1. Using Powder Pink, stamp the piggy on Shimmery White Cardstock.
2. Using Powder Pink ink and the Aqua Painter, color in the piggy.
3. Using Melon Mambo & Old Olive watercolor pencils, color in the flower.
4. Using Berry Burst, stamp the daisy on Powder Pink Cardstock twice and punch out.
5. Using Berry Burst, stamp the daisy center on Berry Burst Cardstock and punch out with the ½” circle punch.
6. Curl the petals of the daisy with a bone folder. Offset the flowers and attach with a stampin’ dimensional.  Add daisy center and cover with Wink of Stella.
7. Assemble card as shown.
