Say Goodbye to Cake Soirée

Today is my anniversary so I thought I would do a wedding-ish card.  I think that this is just such a pretty cake.  The cake base is stamped in Powder Pink and the detail is stamped with Versamark and embossed with copper embossing powder.

Oh So Eclectic (FMS331)

I’m playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge today.  I had a few of the silver embossed foliage on my table so I thought I would let those guide my card today.  I also think I’m in love with the Layered Leaves Dynamic embossing folder.  I popped the panel up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The Best Wishes comes from Cake Soirée and I used the Classic Label punch and then put the label back in the punch to shorten it.

Cake Soirée

I just love that cake, it’s so pretty.  Of course everything in the Cake Soirée stamp set and coordinating dies is gorgeous!  This is the first card we made at my last Cookies & Cards class.

Measurements:

Rich Razzleberry Cardstock	5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”, 1 ½” x 4”
Whisper White Cardstock	4” x 5 ¼” (for inside)
Powder Pink Cardstock	3 ½” x 3 ½”, 3” x 5”
Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper	1 ½” x 4”
Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets	(2) 1 ½” x 4”

 Instructions:

1. Using Rich Razzleberry, stamp the cake on the 3 ½” x 3 ½” piece of Powder Pink Cardstock.
2. Using the Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive watercolor pencils, color in the flowers on the cake. Use the blender pen to spread and brighten the colors.
3. Die cut the cake and the celebrates from the Rich Razzleberry and Dazzling Diamonds paper (put the adhesive sheets on the back before die cutting).
4. Emboss the 3” x 5 ½” Powder Pink Cardstock. Adhere about ¼” from the fold on the Rich Razzleberry cardbase.
5. Adhere the doily in the lower right corner of the card base with a little hanging off the edge. Cut off the part that is hanging over the edge.
6. Adhere the cake on top of the doily.
7. Adhere the Rich Razzleberry celebrate.
8. Adhere the Dazzling Diamonds celebrate slightly to the right of the Rich Razzleberry one to create a shadow.

Occasions Catalog Swap Cards

The best part of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is getting together with your fellow demonstrators.  I went to a gathering on Saturday and participated in two swaps.  This post is for the Occasions Catalog swaps, I’ll have a post later for the Sale-a-bration swap and one for the make & takes Susan Campfield created for us.  It was just fabulous!
