Summer Nights Add-on

Not only did I play with the July 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit but I pulled out the Add-on kit too. For the add-on I chose to use current Stampin’ Up! stamps to create some simple scenes. Everyone of these cards is one layer. Mostly stamps, ink, and paper except for the embossing powder on the dandelion card and the light Basic Black blends marker on the dock.

Bundles – Mountain Air
Stamp Sets – By The Dock, Dandelion Wishes, Mountain Air, Snow Front
Ink – Basic Gray, Tuxedo Black Memento, Versamark, Black Stampin’ Blends

Coloring Tools – Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder

Interlocking Fun Fold Card

I follow Sam at Mixed Up Craft and she did a Beautiful Double Concertina Inter-Lock Card. I made a version of this that is 4″ x 5 1/2″ so it can fit into an A2 envelope. I also added a couple extra score lines so you can see the squares on the inside.

Rocco Rose Cardstock5 ½” x 8”; scored at 4”
5 ½” x 8 ½”; scored at ½”, 4”
3” X 12”; scored at ½”, 2”, 5”, 6”, 7”, 10”, 11 ½”

The Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper and Very Vanilla cardstock are cut 1/8″ smaller than the scored section. The 8″ piece of Rocco Rose is the left section and the extra ½” from the right side is glued on the backside.

I used the third from smallest of the bigger rectangles to make the openings.

I used my ruler to center it on the panel like I did the first one.

By The Dock Impressions

I meant to use this bundle next month but apparently I was too excited to use it. 🙂 This was the second card we made at my last Cookies & Cards class. I wanted to use it to make a scene and I used the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper as the water in the background.

Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper (DSP)4” x 5 ¼”

  1. Using the Stamparatus and Bermuda Bay ink, stamp the Crackle background on the front of the cardbase.  I positioned it ¼” from the top and side.
  2. Using Early Espresso, stamp the dock on the 3” x 3” piece of Crumb Cake.  Color the bird with the chalk marker.  Die cut.
  3. Using Pretty Peacock, stamp the sentiment on the 2” x 2” piece of Crumb Cake. Die Cut.
  4. Die cut the DSP with the stitched rectangle.
  5. Adhere DSP to cardbase.  Add dock and sentiment using dimensionals.
  6. Cut a piece of ribbon to about 2 ½”, fold in half and push under the sentiment.   Tie a bow in the twine and adhere using a glue dot.
