… the Buffalo Check background stamp. This was one of my favorite background stamps but it definitely needed the Stamparatus to get a more solid image. It’s also a stamp you can use to create a plaid pattern, which is fun.

Rustic Retreat

I got my Holiday Catalog preorder and I threw some Annual Catalog stamp sets in because I like to pace myself when ordering so my husband doesn’t take my credit card away.  🙂

I really liked the Rustic Retreat stamp set when I first saw it because it is perfect for masculine cards, and what better for a background than plaid!  I make the plaid background using the Buffalo Check stamp with Early Espresso ink, Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write Marker, Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker, White Chalk Marker, and a t-square.

Say Goodbye to Jar of Love and Hardwood

Jar of Love is another stamp set that has not gotten enough love from me.  For this card, I stamped the jar on vellum using Versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I put it on some Wood Textures paper and Buffalo Check stamped paper that I had laying on my work table.  The background is Hardwood stamped using Crumb Cake on Crumb Cake.

Buffalo Check Dashing Deer

I absolutely love the Buffalo Check background stamp and I thought pairing it with the Dashing Deer bundle would be great.  I love how this card came out.  I even used the beautiful deer die on the inside.

Measurements:

Basic Black	5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”; 1” x 4”
Copper Foil	4” x 5 ¼”
Cherry Cobbler	3 ¾” x 5”
Very Vanilla	4” x 5 ½”

Instructions:

1. Using the Stamparatus and Shaded Spruce ink, stamp the Buffalo Check on Cherry Cobbler cardstock. Die cut the jumping deer and set aside
2. Adhere Cherry Cobbler piece to Copper Foil using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere to Basic Black Card base.
3. Using Versamark, stamp the sentiment on Basic Black and punch out using the Everyday Label Punch. Adhere using Stampin Dimensionals.
4. Tie the Copper trim in a bow and adhere using a glue dot.
5. Using black, stamp inside sentiment on the piece of Very Vanilla, add die cut deer with the fine tip glue.
