I didn’t use this stamp set much. It’s images are smaller than I usually use because it’s designed for planners and I don’t have a planner. I also used Brusho crystals and the watercolor paper that are retiring. There are new watercolor paper and crystals that are coming in the new catalog and I’m excited to try them out.
I was inspired by a color blocking video by Jennifer McGuire but I didn’t like the first combo I tried so I just went with the blue. Here is my first combo.
I’m really starting to have fun with my Brusho watercolor crystals. Did you know if you put them in a palette and wet them you can just paint? I love to have puddles of watercolor to paint with.
For this card I stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with clear embossing powder before coloring with the Brusho. I did start by wetting the watercolor paper and sprinkling on the brilliant blue but it was a bit darker than I really wanted so I used my palette.
Unfortunately the Butterfly Duet Punch will not be available until some time in March, click here and enter your email address to be notified when it is back in stock.
I decided to play with the Brusho crystals to watercolor the flower from the Humming Along Cling Stamp Set. First I stamped the flower on watercolor paper using VersaMark and clear embossing powder. I then used a mask and stamped and embossed two more times. I tapped out some of the crystals into a palette and added water to use for my watercoloring. The sentiment may have been better on it’s own banner but I kinda like it like this because I can see the flower through it.
For this Beautiful Blizzard card, I CASE’d the catalog. Why re-invent the wheel when there are so many amazing cards already in the catalog? I finally broke into my Brusho watercolor crystals and had some fun making this card. I wet the watercolor paper, tapped out some of the crystals, and sprayed it with more water. I think it looks beautiful, I need to use my Brusho more. To be honest, the only thing keeping me from using it was trying to find some really cute push pins for it. Oh well, I’ll just use the boring ones I have and keep looking for something really cute. I also used the new shimmer paint on the snowflakes, I think they look pearlized when you use the frost white.
If you haven’t used Brusho before, you don’t want to actually open the bottles that the crystals come in you just want to put a little hole in the top to shake the crystals out through.
