The March 2019 Paper Pumpkin was designed to use numbers on the cards but since I don’t know who these are going to yet, I decided to use a cake stamp. Cake Soiree was a little too girly and I wasn’t sure it would fit well. Sooooo, I pulled out “Birthday Whimsy” from the 2008 Sale-a-Bration. Anyone else still have that set?
Check out the YouTube video for how the cards are designed to look.
This is basically the same as the designed card except I used the cake and moved Happy down to the bottom of the label. I also used gold Wink of Stella on the candles, another throwback.
I did try one with the candles from the stamp set but it was hard to get them lined up:
This is the inside which is as designed.
Here is the second card with just the cake change:
I didn’t like the confetti stamp on the front so I changed it to a strip of Bermuda Bay embossed in the Sequins 3D embossing folder with the same inside:
As usual, the March Paper Pumpkin kit came with extras that I haven’t finished using up yet (maybe I’ll have another post) but I did make two more cards out of them with a pop up in the middle.
Bottom: 1 1/2″ x 6 1/2″, scored at 2″, 4″, 6″
Middle: 1 1/2″ x 5 3/4″, scored at 1 3/4″, 3 1/2″, 5 1/4″
Top: 1 1/2″ x 5″, scored at 1 1/2″, 3″, 4 1/2′
Along the tops I used some strips from the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper.
