At the end of my month of working with the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper, I just had bits and pieces of the paper left and I used some of those to make these three tags. the gingerbread man, trees and stars were cut out of one of the patterned papers but you can also purchase them separately as a stamp set. It’s just too bad that the gingerbread house didn’t come as a stamp set because I would love that!
So how about a selfie with Santa and a reindeer? I thought this would be cute. I stamped the child first then used a mask on it before stamping Santa. I then added a mask over Santa before stamping the reindeer. I put a mask on the reindeer before stamping the pine trees in the background.
Once again I’m not using the stamp set but I am using the utterly adorable Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper. I based this card on an old Operation Write Home sketch. It’s a great way to use up those leftover scraps laying on your workspace. I also use the 1″ square punch which is currently on the clearance rack so hurry up and get yours today! I added the squares before using the embossing folder.

For this card I did the Northern Lights technique. How did I not hear about this until a month or so ago?!!! I thought it was the perfect background for the little Eskimo child in the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set. To learn how to do the technique, I googled it and watched a couple of YouTube videos. I watched this one, and this one, and this one, and well, you may want to google it yourself…there are sooo many out there.
I chose to use stamping sponges and the ink I had on my table to create my card. The little bit of green on the side came from the Daffodil Delight and Tempting Turquoise mixing. For the child, I paper pieced the clothes by stamping on the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper, cutting it out and adhering to the image. I colored in the legs with the Early Espresso Marker and the mittens with Real Red. I also used clear Wink of Stella on the hood but it doesn’t show up well in the photo.

The Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper is just adorable. The gingerbread house I used on the card was cut from a sheet of the patterned paper. I also used a circle punch to add some candies next to it.
Just to show you the versatility of this stamp set and paper, I created a baby card with the bear stamp from the Cookie Cutter Stamp set and a neutral paper from the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper. I think this bear will be very useful. The congratulations is from the Floral Phrases stamp set.
