This is the second time I’ve used Timeless Textures and I don’t think I’ve used Thankful Thoughts much either. I’m horrible at actually sending thank you cards and I like clean lines so maybe that’s why neither got much use. 🙂
I colored the pearls with the Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends and you can’t really see it but the background is embossed with the Subtles Embossing Folder.
I’m joining two challenges today, PCC338 over at PaperCraftCrew.com and the FabFri164 color challenge over at FabFridayStampinChallenge.blogspot.com.
I think the Hedgehugs set is just so cute but I didn’t even notice the mushrooms until I made this card for today. I colored in the bird image and the flowers using the Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, Real Red, and Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Markers. The rhinestones were colored with the Dark Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends Marker but it may be hard to see the color.
I’ve wanted to make a tulle shaker card since I first saw Jennifer McGuire make one and this sketch from Atlantic Hearts Challenge seemed like the perfect fit. I made my shaker with liquid glue and I would recommend if you do that be more patient than me and wait for the glue to dry. 🙂 Many of my sequins stuck to the side and I didn’t get the front panel on exactly straight.
Here is sketch #317 from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.
I was designing the card with just the little elephant on it but then I needed a sentiment and the “happy birthday” in Balloon Celebration worked. Since I’m pulling in the sentiment, why not add a balloon. I think it turned out well.
I didn’t use this stamp set much. It’s images are smaller than I usually use because it’s designed for planners and I don’t have a planner. I also used Brusho crystals and the watercolor paper that are retiring. There are new watercolor paper and crystals that are coming in the new catalog and I’m excited to try them out.
I was inspired by a color blocking video by Jennifer McGuire but I didn’t like the first combo I tried so I just went with the blue. Here is my first combo.
Jar of Love is another stamp set that has not gotten enough love from me. For this card, I stamped the jar on vellum using Versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder. I put it on some Wood Textures paper and Buffalo Check stamped paper that I had laying on my work table. The background is Hardwood stamped using Crumb Cake on Crumb Cake.
This card is almost entirely leftover pieces on my craft table. The only things I added was to stamp the flowers and color the leaves. The flowers were stamped with full strength Grapefruit Grove for the outlines and stamped off for the filler. The leaves (left over from another card) are sponged with Mossy Meadow.
