Oh So Eclectic (FMS331)

I’m playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge today.  I had a few of the silver embossed foliage on my table so I thought I would let those guide my card today.  I also think I’m in love with the Layered Leaves Dynamic embossing folder.  I popped the panel up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The Best Wishes comes from Cake Soirée and I used the Classic Label punch and then put the label back in the punch to shorten it.

Shoebox Swap card using FMS316

I knew I wasn’t going to get this post up in time to join the challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches but I really liked the sketch so I’m using it anyway.

It’s another card using the gold foil envelope inserts from the Watercolor Christmas card kit.  I made the original version of the card for the Shoebox Swap I had on the 9th and then tried the other two versions to see if I could tone down the shine some.  It was really difficult to get a picture of it.

J. Pollock Designs - Stampin' Up! - Star of Light

Here is another version using some black ink I sponged over the top of the gold foil.

J. Pollock Designs - Stampin' Up! - Star of Light, Cable Knit

For this last one, I tried the tarnished look using silver and copper embossing powders. I also cut the top panel 1/8″ smaller around than I intended but I think I like the thicker border.

Crazy About You

The new Holiday Catalog just came out today (yay!) but demonstrators have been able to order since the beginning of August (one of the many perks to being a demonstrator).  I also have an event called Demos Galore coming up and I’ve been working on many projects to debut there using the holiday products.  Sooooo, I decided to put aside the holiday items today and create a card using a stamp set and paper that isn’t holiday related.  Sometimes I just need to clean my palette so to speak.  🙂

Another challenge post.

Wow, was the first week of the kids in school busy!  Maybe I’ll have more time next week to get the challenges done.

Supply List

Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

Freshly Made Sketches #194

And card #3 for the day.  I think this one will be perfect for St. Valentine’s Day…hopefully I can find it then.  🙂

J. Pollock Designs - Stampin' Up! - Groovy Love, Watercolor Wash

I based it on this sketch from the Freshly Made Sketches blog:

I was playing around with my new Watercolor Wash stamp using Watermelon Wonder ink on Watermelon Wonder cardstock.  I didn’t like how that turned out for a background but I thought it would look good if I used the Sweetheart punch and put it on this card.  Now I like it.  🙂

My supplies:

Freshly Made Sketches #188 (FMS188)

IMG_1976I used the retired Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack.  (I know, I know, you can’t find this anymore but I just love the Real Red and Coastal Cabana combo.)

I die cut a square out of the floral paper and backed it with the Crumb Cake polka dots.  I was originally intending to make a shaker card but I forgot to put the acrylic on before the polka dot paper.  Maybe I shouldn’t craft after nine.  🙂

I stamped the butterflies from Papillon Potpourri with Real Red on Crumb Cake and punched them out with the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches.  (If you know me, you know I love how many of the stamps have coordinating punches.  Who wants to cut them out by hand?)  I topped the largest butterfly with some of the smallest rhinestones from the Jewels Basic Rhinestones.

I then tied a piece of Woven Satin Ribbon in Real Red (this one is on the clearance rack so grab it while you can).  I attached the paper to a card base using dimensional adhesive.

I’m playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.
