Technique Squad Blog Hop – Exploding Card

This month we are featuring the Exploding Card Technique. I watched videos from Mixed Up Craft, Annie’s Crafts, and Creating with Kristina. None of the videos were exactly what I wanted so I extrapolated and created my own. I wanted one that had all the layers of Mixed Up Craft but easy to modify like Annie’s Crafts.

My cardbase is 4 1/2″ x 10 7/8″ scored at 5 3/8″ and 5 1/2″. The explosion paper needs to be the length of the cardbase minus the 1/8″ score so it’s 10 3/4″ square. (In case you want to create your own in a different size.

Stamp Sets – Celebrating You
Die Cutting & Embossing – Scalloped Contours dies, Stylish Shapes dies
Ink – Basic Gray stamp pad
Paper – Heart & Home Designer Series Paper, Basic Gray cardstock, Basic White thick cardstock, Fresh Freesia cardstock
Tools – Paper Trimmer, Simply Scored, Bone Folder, Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine
Adhesive – Stampin’ SEAL, liquid glue
