New Horizons

When I first saw this paper pack, I knew I had to get it. Each piece is a work of art. I’m playing along with the Paper Players sketch challenge (PP575) and I wanted the focus of this card to be on the beautiful paper.

The background is stamped with the Gentle Waves stamp, I felt it needed some texture and the waves went with the patterned paper. I didn’t perfectly stamp the background, so I used a sponge dauber to ink the edges. The sentiment is from the Daisy Lane stamp set and cut out with hexagons from the Beautiful Shapes dies. Behind the sentiment, I used the Frayed ribbon. To get this look with the ribbon, you just pull on the thread holding it together.

WOW, I really love the rich colors and textures on this dreamy card! The sentiment is lovely and I really like how your accents draw the eye towards it. Beautiful, JoAnn! So glad you joined us at The Paper Players!
