I posted last week about the fun fold swap I was in, I also did a Holiday Catalog swap. My cards varied some for this swap because I had a really hard time figuring out how to put snow on the trees. I tried the new Snowfall Accents Puff Paint (coming out tomorrow) but I couldn’t get them to look how I wanted. Then I tried the Chalk Marker but I didn’t like that either. Next it was Whisper White ink applied with the make up brush I talked about in a previous post and it looked great until it dried. I finally decided on white embossing powder. I redid the Whisper White ink and then sprinkled white embossing powder on it and scrapped some off so it would look like snow on the trees. I glued everything onto the snow globe and sprayed it with Frost White Shimmer paint mixed with alcohol in a spritzer. Then I glued on individual snowflakes from the new Snowflake Sequins. Unfortunately the version I kept of my card does not have the embossing powder on the trees and I really didn’t want to make another one. 🙂 For the snow globe, I stamped using Silver Shimmer ink on Whisper White, die cut it out, and inked it with Balmy Blue.
